A Day at The Cafe

A Day at The Cafe

Thursday, 31th of February 1826
Hey, lil' brother. Guess what? I saw a man at the cafe today. Haha, I know I have met a lot of man in my life. But, he is gorgeous, charming, and shining. We have not said anything to each other, yet, it feels like we're really close. We are meant to be one.

Hashley closed her diary after. The memories flashed through in a blink of an eye.
"Huft, brother I wish you were still here with me." said Hashley slowly.

Hashley was living together with her only little brother, Fetro. Their parents have already left them when they were before primay schooler age. Welope, an uncle from their father gave them a sweet home. Yet again - after living in it for 12 years - due to his debt, he was arrested by the police and his home was taken by the bank after.

They had to live by themselves on the road. Luckily, they met Mr. Perllyen, who let them sleep and work at a cafe, Berkast Cafe.
"Hashley, good work today." Mr. Perllyen smiled.
"Eh! It was nothing, sir." Hashley startled.
"What are you writing today? I had not seen you with your diary after a while. Don't mind telling me, I am all ears."
Hashley lowered her head.
"Dear me, I know it is hard for you to let your brother go. Don't worry, you're good." Mr. Perllyen grabbed her shoulder in pity.

Hashley looked around gently, and the clock caught her eyes wide open. "Sir, you should get going. It's past 8 already." Hashley exclaimed.
"Oh no! I am late for dinner. Eer- ...Okay, I will see you tomorrow, Hashy." Mr. Perllyen dashed toward the door and waved with his warm smile.

Hashley stood up from her desk and prepared herself a dinner.

Echo sounds of stainless steel from the pan was heard all over the corner. Hashley was cooking fried rice with sausage in the kitchen. She added some ketchup, and two hundreds and seventy pieces of salt to satisfy her taste. She put the rice onto a white plastic plate and gathered the pan with other dishes. While the fire was still alive, she quickly get herself a teapot to make a hot alabama green tea.

Tomorrow morning, and just like any other days, she opens the cafe at 8.

While waiting for customers to come, she's preparing the early hours meal, alabama black tea, and local brown coffee.
Kriing.. kring..

She turned, and caught her eyes on a tall man in a purple sweater. Her face had gone red at once. "Hi."
"Eee-h, yes?? May I take your order, sir..?" Hashley tried to smile naturally, but she couldn't.
"Uhh.."
An awkward silent between them. "Hello..? Are you okay sir?"
Kriing.. kring..
"Ah..! Sorry, I lost my thoughts there. I am okay, thank you."
Mr. Perllyen waved at the door. "Hey, Hashley. How's today?"
"Aa- yes! Mm-orning, sir..!" said Hashley startled.
"Okay, I will be the place I usually am. Cheers!" said Mr. Perllyen before going into another door.

Hashley turned back her attention toward the guy in front of her. "Hello, sir, are you ready to order?"
"Ah, sure! A glass of traditional analihic tea please."
"Anything else?"
"No."
"Okay, please have a seat. I will deliver your order soon."

The tall man took a seat near the window view. Hashley quickly went inside the kitchen and hid herself.
"What should I do?? Aaaa..!" she mumbled to herself. "That's the guy from yesterday, the one I wrote in my diary!"

After spending 3 minutes in the kitchen preparing her might and the order, he got out and delivered the order with the receipt.
"Here's your order and the receipt. Hope you enjoy." Hashley put the the drink carefully. Her hand was shaking silently, and immediately planned to walk back after.

"Wait!" the guy shouted.
Hashley got taken aback and stopped walking. "Yes...?"
"Miss, wake up, please. Wake up.."
"Excuse me??"

Hashley opened her eyes, and realised it was all just a dream. "Huft.. what time is it?"
She looked at the square digital clock beside her. "Oh no! It's past 7 already...!"
